Donuts
Donuts is a four-reel slot that has up to 2401 paylines. With a risk of the bigger kind, the potential is high. The maximum wins are enormous and the RTP is an excellent 96.54%. Here in our review you get all the facts about the game and can of course try it out for free.
About Donuts
Donuts provides a retro gaming experience, without an explosion of high-class graphics. Indeed, the game is not that. But behind what seems to be a simple game design is a deep… reasonably deep story. Apparently, the man behind this market stall is… selling Extra Chilli I decided to hit up and try my luck on Route 66.
3-2-1 Donuts is the name of the donut restaurant that has been sited somewhere along the iconic road. You can see a picture of the restaurant behind the wheels, along with a view of a piece of the desert in the southwestern United States.
The game has a distinct 50s vibe. For instance, the wheel stand is created to look like a classic jukebox. Donuts is super colorful and goes at a clip that's almost frenetic.
In our view, the audio quality is really good. Sound seems to be an element that Big Time Gaming doesn't concentrate on much when it comes to their games. There is a loop in the background with a fast-paced disco beat, which is melded with the sounds of a restaurant. When you spin the reels and hit a winning combination, you're treated to what can best be described as classic slot machine sound effects.
Stakes and winnings
Donuts has a truly unique wheel alignment. The wheels are 4 in number and 4 in size, high. The game can therefore be said to be square! There are no classic paylines, but winning ways abound. There can be as many as 2401 ways to win on any single spin. You might be familiar with Big Time Gaming's flagship title Bonanza? Donuts works in essentially the same way, only with fewer paths to profit.
You place a wager between 50 cents and $100 on each spin. However, keep in mind that online casinos have the option to adjust these amounts. If you prefer not to click your way through each manual spin, you can take advantage of the available autoplay option.
The winning system in big-time gaming slots is, as usual, quite easy to comprehend. The numbers given are multipliers of your wager. For instance, you get 2x on the bet if you hit four in a row, and they happen to be consecutive red Donuts. This shouldn't sound like much, yet it's feasible to succeed on a colossal amount of paylines in a single spin with many streams coalescing and forming a veritable storm surge when you get stacked by the best-paying icons!
Donuts' RTP is not silly. It is, in fact, a very decent return. You're looking at about 96.54%. Of course, as usual with BTG's machines, the volatility is high. I would say it's not as high as in some other recent BTG offerings, like Bonanza or Extra Chili.

Symbols
Donuts might have a chance to star in a slot called Donuts. Four reels hold four monk symbols. All are slathered in what looks like really good frosting (the colors: purple, red, blue, green). Of course, the $uper $lot sees the $4,000 top prize relatively often.
Three special symbols exist as well: wilds, bonus symbols, and donut boxes. These three symbols are very useful; in fact, it can be said that the wilds almost always "come into play" and stay true to their name.
Game features
There are three special symbols, and each one provides a bonus feature associated with rank. The symbol of most significance is the Golden Monk symbol, which transports you to the free spins stage.
Wilds
The play's Joker is a very elementary image of a wild jukebox that features something like "WILD!" on the reels (2-C, 3-C, 4-C). A substitute symbol, the Joker is nothing less than a naked wild. And the wild is nothing more than a naked scatter.
Donut boxes
Occasionally, you will be given a symbol in the form of a donut- l on the screen. When the symbol is opened, it will display either 2-4 Monk symbols or a wild with a multiplier (2x - 4x). Each Monk symbol counts as an extra that could potentially lead to a win. Your last hope is that the symbols will sit on the same reel (or adjacent reels) as the ones that are already there in order to create a winning combination.
Free spins
What would a slot game from Big Time Gaming be without its epic free spins round? Unsurprisingly, the gaming developer has crammed that very thing into Donuts. While the potential isn't quite as crazy as in Bonanza or White Rabbit, it's still much higher than most of what we've been playing lately.
Having three or four bonus scatters (a gold donut) leads to winning free spins. Three pieces yield 12 free rounds, whereas four pieces yield 20 rounds. Now, before you even think of playing, activate free spins, and enjoy the game with loads of energy. How do I do that? Free spins don't activate easily, so don't feel bad if they don't happen in your first play of the game. You only earn them after several hundred spins (on average) since the game was set in motion.
Prior to spinning your free spins, you are given the opportunity to play a slight bonus game. In this game, golden donuts will dance on the reels, and you should hope for a great many of them to appear in your line of vision. Each donut that you see grants you a multiplier that is used throughout the free spins round. There's really no maximum for the multiplier!
One last thing to mention about this cool bonus with free spins is that it can be reactivated an unlimited number of times. In fact, two gold donuts are enough to get additional spins (10 pieces).
Summary
Donuts is a really delicious (pardon the pun) slot for those who are already fans of Big Time Gaming's offerings. The game is excellent for those who want to try the developer's concept without having to endure basically maximum volatility. Donuts is simply more "forgiving" than Bonanza, for example.
The idea for a game with innumerable winning methods, boxes of donuts, and multipliers offers a pretty good chance of winning. Yet, when it comes to actually landing some wins, the whole thing can start to feel a bit grim. This is especially true if you crank up the volatility, which you can do with the unlimited multipliers in the free spins. That's when you really crank up the potential for a gigantic, life-changing win.
