The Rat Pack

About the Rat Pack slot machine

If you're in the age group that thinks of Frank Sinatra and his gang when you hear the words “The Rat Pack,” then it's time to rethink. In this slot from Microgaming we get to get to know a bunch of rats. It's not just any rats though – these beauty-singing rodents will entertain you at least as well as Mr. Sinatra did in his glory days.

This slot machine consists of 5 reels and 3 rows. Crisscrossing the reels are no less than 30 different paylines that you can bet on. You choose how many of the paylines you want to bet on. More lines, of course, means a greater chance of winning, but also a higher bet. Other ways you can adjust the bet is by choosing a coin value and bet level. All in all, it's easy to find a bet that fits, regardless of your budget and mood.

Wild symbols

The Wild symbol in the Rat Pack consists of a symbol with the text “2X”. These symbols help you win even when you don't have 3 or more matching symbols from left to right on any of your paylines. Wilds can substitute for all other regular symbols, thus helping to complete combinations and give you more and bigger wins. Even the symbol with the Rat Pack logo acts as a wild symbol. However, this cannot replace the 2x symbols, but it can give winnings in its own right.

Scatter symbols

In the Rat Pack, the scatter symbols consist of a gilded vinyl disc. If you are lucky enough to get 3 or more of these symbols – regardless of their position on the screen – you will win between 4 and 100 times your bet. You will also get free spins. If you manage to get a wild symbol during free spins, it will expand to transform the entire reel into a single Big wild, which of course improves your winning opportunities.

How many free spins you get depends on where on the reels the scatter symbols stop. The reels that have no scatter will continue to spin as usual. Each time the reels stop, the reels with scatter symbols will move down a notch. This continues as long as there are scatters left on any of the reels.

Summary

The Rat Pack is a charming slot machine packed with nice bonus features and winnings. We like the theme and not least the music, which of course brings to mind The New York of the 60s, with jazzy tones that accompany the spinning of the wheels.
