Da Vinci's Treasure
Da Vinci's Treasure can be summed up in three parts: a bit of history, a bit of mystery, and then the chance of massive profits with soaring volatility. The game has a high potential, to say the least. Learn more about the title in our slots review and give it a go for gratis!
About Da Vinci's treasure Castle
Mona Lisa, the painting, and The Da Vinci Code, the novel, have ensured that Leonardo Da Vinci is very much associated with mysteries these days. But in truth, he was something of an adventurer himself—one who, as far as we know, never rode any horses but instead, so to speak, rode on the neck of the Italian Renaissance from the first half of the 15th century to the halfway point of the 16th—an era whose mysteries, as much as anything, we'll be exploring in this slot.
Looking at the screen for even a brief moment will tell you that all of the symbols are closely connected to the deeds of Leonardo Da Vinci. Take, for instance, the cryptex, a model of a helicopter, and, of course, the iconic self-portrait of the renowned inventor himself. To enhance the somewhat enigmatic atmosphere of the game, Pragmatic Play has added a fitting soundtrack.
A five-reel slot with 25 fixed paylines, Da Vinci's Treasure pays out in three of the highest-paying icons with only two in a row (and three in the next).
Stakes and winnings
Pragmatic Play wants it to be easy for us to play. Thus, one "masks" the fact that we are playing with $editer. Therefore, when selecting a bet, you have to worry about coins, levels, and the like only if you want to. And, at the same time, you have plenty of opportunity to do it if that's your jam.
A spin on Da Vinci's Treasure will set you back between $2.50 and $1,250. That amounts to between a paltry 10 cents per line and a pretty penny 10 times 5 bucks per line.
Taking into account the ultimate victory in coins, it is 500,000 coins. That corresponds to an enormous profit, whatever the stake. It is a clear indicator of high risk. And indeed, according to the game's official rules, the risk is at the maximum level allowable. So Da Vinci's Treasure is probably not a sensible option for those who want to avoid big swings in their game balance.
Da Vinci's treasure RTP is 96.53% - a clearly decent payback over time. Good to note especially, however, is that this figure only appears after a huge amount of spins, this thanks to/because of the high risk.

Symbols
The reels in Da Vinci's Treasure are populated with five high-win symbols, six low-win symbols, and two special symbols. This is what you get from Pragmatic Play.
The symbols that win big show the intrepid John Hunter (a Rich Wilde doppelganger?), a book, a bag, a model of helicopter, and a crossbow. The symbols that win not-so-big are A-9. We must admit that the symbols are extremely classy. Every pixel is precisely placed, and they all have nice win animations. The developers of this game have probably used Betsoft's concept for win animations as at least one of their guides: making the A-9 symbols seem to win as well as the big win symbols; that is, making the player think they are winning all the time.
Game features
In contrast to other similarly themed Adventure games, Da Vinci's Treasure from Pragmatic Play is filled to the brim with special features.
Wilds
The Wild symbol stands for Leonardo himself. It is the substitute symbol for every icon except the scatter. Note that the scatter is on the first reel. The Wild cannot land on it.
Scatters
The bonus symbol is a classic cryptex (a cylinder with a code lock). It can only appear on reels 2-4 and if you just get three scatters, an animation is activated where one of three bonuses is randomly generated. What they are, you can see below.
The map mission
The quest map is a beautifully conceived bonus game. Yet, it is probably neither very profitable nor very thrilling, either. Your job is to click a wheel of fortune that has five regions on it. The regions labeled 1-5 give the same number of steps on the map, while the region labeled "game over" does what it says: ends the round. If you progress far, or even to the finish line, on the map, you'll earn a windfall. If you hit the finish line, your profit will be 100 times your stake.
Free spins
The no-cost spins incentive in Da Vinci's Treasure can transform into an incredibly lucrative affair. This is where you have the opportunity to pocket 500,000 coins! Should the event be triggered, you will be allowed to play 12 no-cost spins with a multiplier that increases by 1 with every new spin.
When you spin for the first time in the bonus round, a 1x multiplier applies. When you spin for the second time, any winnings are multiplied by 2x. This continues all the way up to 12x the winnings on the last spin.
Yet, there is also an opportunity to re-activate the free round. This occurs when there are three bonus symbols on reels 2-4. You can re-activate the bonus a total of four times, giving a total of up to 60 free spins (and 60x as a multiplier!).
Price selector
Should the cryptex result in the "prize picker" outcome, you'll receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Da Vinci's studio. Three of the artist's most famous works, including the Mona Lisa, are shown here. Click on any of the paintings to equally access what you'd win, which could amount to 20 times the original bet.
Immediately after the bonus round, you will be offered the opportunity to play a "doubling game." It is easy to lose your winnings here, especially if you try to do it by hand. The safest way to win what you've just earned is to click on the red button at the bottom. Then your winnings should be on their way to your account.
Double or double
In multiple places, you find a kvitt or double feature that allows you to attempt to double your winnings. In Da Vinci's Treasure, however, this feature works somewhat differently. For one, it shows up only after one of the game's three bonus rounds. Also, when given the chance to go for it, you choose between doubling, tripling, quadrupling (not a word), and quintupling (definitely a word) your already won amount.
Summary
The treasure of Da Vinci casts a very nice graphics spell. This game with its name is not just a game that invites exploration. It is a work of art that quite literally invites players to penetrate its depths. Pragmatic Play is indeed a good studio that handles depth and art quite well with this example.
Clearly, in our opinion, the bonus features are reasonable. We just would have liked to see the map bonus game offer a little more opportunity for bigger wins. The story that plays out in the free spins bonus is a really thrilling one where each consecutive spin becomes more and more lucrative in multiplying potential.
