Updated Written and checked by the Casinos-Online editorial team

How far you can rely on Casinos-Online.pro: information rather than advice, New Zealand law in transition, figures that change and the limits of our liability.

Casinos-Online.pro describes online casinos that New Zealanders can reach. It does not run one. Below: which of our statements deserve your trust, the point where our job ends, and the checks we would rather you ran yourself. It sits alongside our terms of service and is written in plain English rather than in the defensive style these pages often take, because a disclaimer nobody reads protects nobody.

General information, never a recommendation for you

A page about a casino reports three things: what the operator's own terms say about it, what its cashier and bonus pages displayed on the day we looked, and which claims we were unable to confirm. That is reporting. It cannot stand in for advice on your finances, your legal position or your tax, because the desk knows nothing about your income, your budget or why you play. Signing up, the size of a deposit and the moment to walk away belong to you alone. If you need advice about money or the law, talk to someone qualified who can look at your situation.

Your money never passes through this site

Not a single wager, deposit or payout is processed by Casinos-Online.pro. The desk cannot log into a casino account of yours, has no view of your balance, and has no lever to block, reverse or hurry a transaction. Clicking through to a casino takes you off this site, and from then on your arrangement is with whichever company the casino's terms identify. Its licence, its complaints process and its rules on verification and withdrawals apply to you; ours do not.

New Zealand law is changing, and pages can lag behind it

The Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 is in force, and the Department of Internal Affairs (Te Tari Taiwhenua) begins issuing domestic online casino licences from 1 December 2026, with the number of licences capped at fifteen. Before the first of them is granted, a local online licence simply does not exist: any site taking Kiwi players holds its permit abroad, or holds none. After that date the rules for licensed operators change again, including a ban on credit card deposits. We describe this transition as accurately as we can and date each page, but legislation, regulations and official guidance can move faster than a re-check. The text of the Act and the department's own publications at dia.govt.nz always take precedence over our summary of them.

New Zealand's Gambling Act 2003, in section 16, limits how overseas gambling may be promoted to people here. We write descriptions and side-by-side comparisons; none of them is meant as a prompt to sign up, and none should be taken as a nudge toward a particular brand. Spot a line that sounds like marketing copy? Send it to us and it will be reconsidered.

Age

You need to be 18 to play at an online casino; the country's bricks-and-mortar casinos set the bar at 20. Operators may go further than the law, and plenty demand proof of age before paying out for the first time. If you are under 18, this site is not for you, and no operator we describe should accept you.

Bonus figures, limits and dates

A welcome offer, a wagering multiplier, a maximum bet or a withdrawal cap is a figure we copied from an operator's terms on the date shown next to it. Operators change those terms without telling us, sometimes several times a month, and an offer can differ by country, by payment method or by the link you arrived from. Treat every number here as a pointer to the operator's current terms, not a substitute for them. If our figure and the casino's terms part company, it is the casino's version that will govern your account.

Payment methods

Our notes on how deposits and withdrawals work from New Zealand are read off cashier pages and payment providers' published information. Methods appear and disappear: some well-known services have closed altogether, and banks can decline gambling transactions on their own initiative. Fees charged by your bank or card issuer, exchange rates on accounts held in another currency and processing times are outside our knowledge and our control.

Tax

Where we mention tax, we are describing the general position that winnings of an ordinary private player are not taxed in New Zealand and that operator duty is a matter for the operator. Individual circumstances differ, particularly for anyone who gambles as a business. Ask Inland Revenue or a tax adviser before relying on a general statement for your own return.

Games, return to player and volatility

When we quote a return-to-player percentage or a volatility rating, it is the figure a game studio publishes for one version of a game. The same title can run at different settings on different sites, and a theoretical return describes millions of rounds, not your session. No page here predicts what you will win or lose, and no strategy we describe changes the house edge built into a game.

Lists and orderings

We do not score casinos out of five. Where operators appear in a list, the order reflects our reading of their terms, payment options and licence information at the time, and the commercial relationships set out on our commissions and advertising page. Appearing in a list says nothing certain about an operator's safety, its finances or its fit for you, and leaving one out is not a verdict against it.

Other people's websites

Outbound links lead to casinos, regulators, studios, payment firms and help services. What those sites publish, how they treat your data and whether a page is still there tomorrow are beyond our reach, and linking to a page is not the same as vouching for it. Some operator sites block visitors by location or show different terms to different countries; what you see may not match what we saw.

Errors and how we correct them

We check before we publish and we re-check on a schedule, but we will sometimes be wrong or out of date. When a reader shows us an error with a source, we change the page and its date. We cannot accept responsibility for a decision you made on the strength of a figure that turned out to be stale, and we ask you to confirm anything that matters to you with the operator before you deposit.

Limits of our liability

To whatever degree the law lets us, Casinos-Online.pro and Levantorre disclaim responsibility for stakes lost at a casino we describe, for a casino declining to pay out, for a casino rewriting its terms, or for this site being offline. Where the law forbids excluding a responsibility, this page does not try; and it leaves intact every consumer right you hold against the casino itself.

If gambling stops being fun

Gambling costs money on average, every time. Set a deposit limit before you start, keep a record of what you spend and treat any win as luck. Worried about your own play, or a whānau member's? The Gambling Helpline answers day and night, costs nothing and keeps calls confidential: 0800 654 655; more at gamblinghelpline.co.nz. Our safer gambling page lists the tools operators are expected to offer.

Who stands behind this disclaimer

The company issuing this disclaimer, and the site with it, is Levantorre Media Limited (Tisa House, 143 Main Street, Gibraltar GX11 1AA). Questions about this page, corrections and complaints about our content can be sent to [email protected]. We answer about our own pages; a quarrel over your casino account is for that casino, and after it for whichever regulator issued its licence.

What this site actually gives you

We are a comparison site, not a casino. Everything below is checked against primary sources — operator terms, the Gambling Act 2003, and Department of Internal Affairs (Te Tari Taiwhenua) publications — and dated.

  • Offers with a date on them Every welcome offer carries the day we last read it in the operator’s own terms. No figure appears without that check.
  • New Zealand law, in plain words What is legal, what changes on 1 December 2026, and which payment methods the licensees’ credit-card ban actually covers.
  • Payment rails that work from here Read off each operator’s own cashier page rather than copied from a European site — including the methods that stopped working.
  • How we are paid Commission on some links, never on our conclusions. Our method.

Who wrote this

The Casinos-Online editorial team — a New Zealand-facing desk, not a named byline, because every page here is produced and checked by more than one person. We read operator terms, the Gambling Act 2003, the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 and Department of Internal Affairs (Te Tari Taiwhenua) publications, and we date what we check. We do not claim to have deposited, played or withdrawn at the casinos we describe.
