Order fruit Warp slot

In 2014, Thunderkick released Fruit Warp as one of its original slot games. Before this, the company had put out unusual but fresh games like Esqueleto Explosivo and turning Totems. But these first games offered more or less standard slot formats. With Fruit Warp, though, Thunderkick released a game that might make the very skeptical slot player have a bit of fun in reimagining what a slot can look and feel like.

The game screen in the game is a peculiar story. In a green "soup," different fruit symbols spin around, and if you get at least three pieces of fruit of the same kind together, you take home a win. Of course, the more fruits are included in your collection, the more you win. If you manage to win with four or more symbols, special features are activated. The game idea is incredibly simple, but at the same time, the game offers a certain depth.

Thunderkick's idea is to produce something entirely original and to fashion an extremely laid-back gaming atmosphere. The action in Fruit Warp is limited to a few brief moments of excitement—my playing sessions felt like the kind of trance state that one slips into while staring at the flickering images of a lava lamp. At least something's happening, right? But what's really special about the Fruit Warp experience is its pretend "magical" presentation, courtesy of the graphics and sound, which got me thinking: if I don't happen to be fond of the game's basic mechanics, might I not be enchanted, at least, by its visuals and auditory "magic"?

Stakes and winnings

Fruit Warp has no wheels and no lines. When you strike the reels, nine fruit symbols will appear haphazardly spread across the green broth. To score a win, the three must be identical – this is not a game where you can expect anything more win-like than that. You always spin while wagering 10 coins, which can convert into whatever you like between 1 and 1000$. At the time of the spin, you simply select the total amount that you wish to wager, and that number holds for the duration of the spin.

In Fruit Warp, the top possible payout for one spin is a staggering 216 times whatever you bet. So for instance, Federal Reserve betting officer Tim, shown in the left panel, plays for $10 a spin, wearing a $10,000 bet when he plays in full screen mode. You know, full screen with nine symbols. You know, we have no idea what kind of fruit that is.

The return to player percentage over time in the game is really impressive. Fruit Warp RTP is actually a whopping 97.00%. There are other slots in Thunderkick's portfolio that pay better, but 97% is a very high figure. In terms of variance and volatility, we can say that the game is quite stingy in the base game. You don't get any big wins with either three or four of a kind in the base game. Do you manage to get to free spins however, the round winnings can be quickly summed up to high numbers.

Symbols

Designers at Thunderkick have packed the game with a total of nine fruits. No clear distinction has been made between the high-win and low-win symbols, but the pink fruit is definitely the best paying symbol in this batch. The game serves up some gorgeous 3D visuals of delicious-looking fruits, begging for a taste. But as fun as the game makes it seem to munch on fruits, you'll probably want to limit yourself to virtual consumption, lest you start salivating all over your laptop's keyboard. Here are the nine yummy fruits: a pink fruit, a star fruit, grapes, a banana, an orange, a strawberry, a plum, and cherries. You can see all of these fruits on the screen when the reel's start spinning.

Functions

Starting a spin on Fruit Warp, one might not grasp right away that the game holds a variety of captivating attributes. Mind you, it might take some time before you get to probe any of them. Yet, probing is essential since Fruit Warp holds both "Portal spins" and "fruit mode."

Portalomspinn

Should you succeed in matching no fewer than four fruits of the same type in a single spin, the fruits in question are held in place while all the other fruits are replaced, one by one, with the hope—fingers crossed—that each new arrival will also be of the same type as those in the current hold. If, after all this fruit-flinging, we should happen to turn up a fifth fruit, we are then entitled to access that most mystical of rounds: Fruit Mode, the bonus round.

Fruit mode

Achieving a set of five or more matching fruits earns you one of the nine total fruit modes. Each of the modes corresponds to a different kind of fruit, yet all share a common structure. There is one for each fruit, but the mechanism of the bonus round is the same regardless of the fruit.

At the bonus round's inception, the background color will match that of the current fruit. A meter will appear at the very bottom of the screen. It initiates with the number of "activating" fruits added to the meter. In essence, the meter is marked with positions numbering between 5 and 9.

You simply have to hope that you go home with added winnings, particularly with the symbol that's crucial for the bonus round, in the free spins that come afterward.

At certain stops on the meter, there are multipliers and hearts (extra lives). The multipliers are even across the different stops, and they are even more impressive when you consider the fact that they increase in value for each win. If you manage to reach a stop that gives you extra life, you get one more chance, which is especially helpful if you just happen to get a free spin with no occurrence of the current fruit.

The free spins phase comes to a conclusion when you cease to receive any more fruit and have no spare life left to utilize.

Summary

Should you have read our review and given Fruit Warp a spin, you will clearly understand that this slot is a curiously different breed. It has no reels or lines, and it features some very peculiar respins and free spins that may leave you scratching your head—and perhaps that's the reason it divides the player base. Some players love to come across a game like this that has clearly broken the mold while others—as evidenced by some of the reviews we've read and player forums we've haunted—snort at Thunderkick's weirdness and claim the developer should get back on track.

The game mechanics are very well developed, and it is clear that Fruit Warp is not rushed. In our opinion, the Respins and free spins features are clearly innovative, and they give the game a depth that you might not imagine at first glance. If you enjoy innovative slots, we think you should at least take a quick look at Fruit Warp. In our demo game above, you can do it without any risk!

Order fruit Warp slot

In 2014, Thunderkick launched Fruit Warp as one of its first video slots. Before that, it had created games like Esqueleto Explosivo and Turning Totems, both of which are clearly unique. But in creating Fruit Warp, the developer took the step of making unique slots even further. When it came out in April 2014, a lot of people were really skeptical of it, and some are still skeptical today. But if one dares to think of the potential of what a slot can actually be, one can have a lot of fun with this one.

The screen in the game has a curious tale to tell. In a green "soup," different fruit symbols spin around, and if you get together, at the very least, three of the same kind of fruit to form a row, you take home a win. The win is activated, of course, by the reeling and spinning of the various symbols. You could say the game is deceptively simple but, on some level, even captivating.

From Thunderkick's side, the idea has been to create something entirely new, and to conjure up a very relaxed gaming atmosphere. Fruit Warp gives you only brief moments of action. Instead, it attempts to lull you into a dreamlike state of gaming. Whether or not this is what you want, we can only present the concept. The graphics and sound are where the magic really begins.

Stakes and winnings

Fruit Warp has no wheels and no lines. When you click the reels, nine fruit symbols will appear strewn throughout the green soup. Three of a kind wins – trickier than that is not the game idea. You always play with 10 coins per spin, and that translates into bets of between 1 – 1000$. When choosing a bet, all you have to do is click on your desired total bet.

In Fruit Warp, the highest possible payout for one spin is 216 times your wager; that's $2,160 if you're playing with $10. You'd hit that payout if you got a full screen of the game's pink fruit, which, frankly, we don't even know what it is.

The payback over time in the game is genuinely stunning. Fruit Warp RTP is actually a whopping 97.00%. There are other slots in Thunderkick's portfolio that pay out better, but 97% is, like we said before, a very high figure. In terms of variance and volatility, we can at least say that the base game is kinda stingy. You don't get no big wins for three or four of a kind in the base game. But do manage to get to free spins, and the round winnings can be summed up quick to big numbers.

Symbols

A total of nine fruits has been stuffed into the game by Thunderkick's designers. They have not done a direct division between high-win and low-win symbols, but the clear winner is the pink fruit, which pays better than the rest. The fruits you can see on the screen are: a pink fruit, an orange fruit, a star fruit, grapes, a banana, an orange, a strawberry, a plum, and cherries. All of the symbols are designed in luscious 3D, and you might not want to play Fruit Warp if you're hungry; they are that inviting!

Functions

Starting a spin on Fruit Warp doesn't make it obvious right away that the game has a plethora of cool features to check out. In fact, it may be some time before you actually get a chance to explore any of them. But when you do, you'll find that Fruit Warp offers up both "Portal spins" and a "fruit mode."

Portalomspinn

If you succeed in matching a minimum of four identical fruits in a single spin, those fruits will remain in place while all the other fruits get swapped out one by one. This process affords you another chance to come up with a fifth identical fruit, which would then send you into the bonus round that the game calls Fruit mode.

Fruit mode

If you have five or more fruits of the same kind, you can win one of the nine different fruit modes. Each mode features a different fruit, but they all share the same bonus round mechanics.

At the time the last round begins, the color of the backdrop will harmonize with that of the current piece of fruit. At the very bottom of the screen, there will be a large representation of a meter. The first thing that happens is that the very first batch of "activating" fruits is counted and added to the meter.

After that, you can only hope that you will win more often and that the payoffs during the bonus round will amount to more than you might, if in your right mind, have anticipated. The free spins that follow could be lucrative. They might also not be.

On the meter, at certain stopping points, you will find multipliers and hearts (which stand in for extra lives). Each time you win, the value of the multipliers increases, and this increase is shared evenly across the different stopping points. Should you reach a stopping point that doles out an extra life, you are then given a free pass to dial for a fruit in the next free spin that might not have ended well for you had you been using just your regular issuing rights.

You reach the end of the free spins round when you fail to obtain additional fruit and have no extra lives left to use.

Summary

If you have read our review and played Fruit Warp, you will know that this slot is quite unusual. It has no reels or lines, and it has some clearly strange respins and free spins features. The very peculiar nature of the game seems to split players down the middle. Some love that Thunderkick has taken such a radical approach, while others scoff at the alternative. Just as with any game that pushes boundaries, the slow pace of gameplay is another thing that seems to divide perception.

Regarding the game mechanics, they are well executed and it's clear that Fruit Warp is not a rushed job. The Respins and the Free Spins features strike us as being quite innovative, and they impart a depth to the gameplay that you might not expect at first glance. We think that anyone who enjoys playing novel slot machines should check out Fruit Warp—if only for a brief moment. You can do so without any risk in our demo, above.
