This is what happens in the game

Booming Games has a huge breadth in its portfolio of slots at online casinos The range includes everything from a slot about Paris to a slot about a panda who lives as an Elvis impersonator. Many of the games are colorful and exuberant so it suggests, and Lava Loca is just such a title. Here we go to a tropical island where white beaches, turquoise blue sea and fiery red volcanoes form the background to a collection of symbols that can best be classified as slightly crazy tiki symbols!

Lava Loca offers fast Games, color in all colors of the rainbow and calypso music that can make even the stiffest person sit a little on the couch. With classic features like wilds with multipliers and a classic five-reel, three-row reel setup, Lava Loca is a simple story that you'll get started with in no time.

The game mechanics of Lava Loca from Booming Games are an uncomplicated story. Two (high win symbols) or three (all other symbols) consecutive symbols on any of the 20 lines will give you a win. However, the great strength of the game is the bonus round with free spins. In this you get to play with expanding symbols that work in the same way as in, for example, Book of Ra and Book of Dead. With any of the high win symbols as a Selected icon, the winnings can be really big.

Stakes and winnings

In Lava Loca, you bet between an amount set by the casino per line. The game has 20 selectable bet lines and if you play them all, the bet will be between within the range the casino sets. We can recommend that you don't mess with the number of lines as it reduces your payback over time. Quick spins are available as an option and Booming Games has also added a feature for automatic games.

When playing in the base game, the maximum win per line is 50 times the bet. It is the game's wild symbol that pays so well. Should this be combined with a multiplier on reel 3, you can instead win up to 200 times the bet at most. The scatter symbol also gives up to 200 times the bet. Then you get five scatters scattered on the screen.

In the free spins round, you have the chance to win significantly more overall. In fact, the theoretical maximum win is as much as 8 million coins.

RTP Lava Loca

The RTP for Lava Loca is more than the approved 96.30%. It is not a record for Booming Games, but the game is one of those in the portfolio that is most generous. The game developer does not specify any exact figure for the volatility, but we know that it is just above average.

Game features

Jokers, multipliers, scatter wins and free spins – that's what Lava Loca offers in terms of special features. Of course, it is possible to put more functions in slot machines, but these are more than enough.

Wilds and multipliers

The wild symbol is present on all reels and it is very useful. There are actually quite a few wins that are created using that symbol. Interestingly, it can also come stacked.

Wilds that land on the reel in the middle can come with an extra special. If you are lucky, the symbol “swings” around to reveal a multiplier of 2x or 4x. that multiplier is applied to all wins that the wild symbol is a part of. With four times the profit, even a modest profit hit can bring decent dividends.

Scatters and free spins

The scatter symbol firstly gives a cash win as below:

• 3 scatters = 2x bets
• 4 scatters = 50x bets
• 5 scatters = 200x bets

Secondly, the scatter will give you 10 free spins. The first thing that happens is that on a second game screen you will see one of the paying icons randomly appear. For example, it can be about one of the tiki figures.

The Selected icon will act as the expanding symbol and pay as the scatter. The feature is recognized from, among other things, The Book of dead.

Example: the random symbol lands on reels 1, 2, 4 and 5. The symbols then expand to cover the entire reels and they pay even though they don't really form complete lines. With this outcome, you take home 20 win hits (20 lines) times the win value of four symbols.

Symbols

Tiki symbols of three types make up the high win symbols in Lava Loca. One looks the most haughty while the other is exuberantly happy and the third has a more crazy character with large windows between the “teeth”. These three symbols pay out at least two consecutive wins on an active Payline.

Poker cards in the form of A, K, Q and J are the symbols that can be considered as low win symbols. They give pretty bad dividends. For example, a combination of three in a row will only return between 15-20% of your bet.

The wild symbol is in the form of the logo of the game. It's a colorful story that you just can't miss! You can't miss the scatter either. It consists of the text “free spins” in lava against a stone background.

Summary

Lava Loca is a slot with a cheerful feel and a clearly relaxing character. If you are a fan of slots such as Easter Island from Yggdrasil or Aloha: Cluster Pays from NetEnt, Lava Loca can be an excellent option.

The game is also an alternative for those who would like to play for the really big winnings while the risk is not huge overall. You get the same features as in, for example, Book of Dead without the sky-high risk. Looking at the graphics, we think Booming Games could have put in a little more effort, but Lava Loca is not an ugly slot at all. Our overall rating is clearly approved.
