Cryptology history

Cryptologic was founded in 1995 by two Irish brothers with sharp brains. Their idea was first to create a secure payment system for online transfers. Shortly thereafter, one of the first online casinos was created in part to launch a market for the payment system. InterCasino opened in november 1996 and over the next decade, under the Cryptologic brand, the brothers also launched a host of other sites, including a couple of poker platforms.

When online gambling became illegal in the United States in 2006, Cryptologic was hit hard and instead began to focus on creating games and building a platform for game distribution.

In 2012, Cryptologic was bought by gaming giant Amaya (now the Stars Group) and the old classic brand then ceased to be used. In 2015, the news came that another gaming giant, namely NYX Gaming Group bought parts of Amaya. Part of the deal was that NYX Gaming acquired the CryptoLogic brand and portfolio of games. Today, the brand is part of the newly formed company SG Digital, which is a merger of Scientific Games and NYX. The trademark currently used is Chartwell Games

The range of games at Cryptologic

Slots created with the Cryptologics brand all have quite a few years on their neck. Since 2012, the brand is not used in New slots and that automatically means that the developer's titles are dated. In fact, not so many of the titles have survived the upheavals of recent years. An example is Bejeweled, but this slot is unfortunately not available at many casinos. The same goes for Armadillo Artie.

If we look at the older castles, they all have clearly imaginative themes and they are overall colorful creations with spectacular sound effects. In many ways, it can be said that Cryptologic was ahead of its time. For example, they were the first to create slots with the theme of film, video games, comic book heroes, and more. Cryptologic had a plethora of Marvel and DC Comics slots in its portfolio long before, for example Playtech step into the picture.

If we look at the newer games, this under the Amaya/Chartwell brand, they follow the path taken. The games are always very colorful and the developers undeniably spend a lot of dollar creating involving themes that add value.

Games from Cryptologic are distributed today through the NYX OGS platform. It is a platform in which a large amount of Game Developers, large and small, have prepared space. However, the games are presented with Amaya or Chartwell as the sender. The reason, as I said, is that Cryptologic is no longer used as a trademark

Slots from Cryptologic

Below we present some short around some of the most well-known Automata signed Cryptologic/Amaya/Chartwell. Note that you may have to search quite carefully to be able to find the games. Above all, you have to opt out of typical New Zealand online casinos without a license We strongly advise against these types of casinos that do not have a an overseas licence A tip for finding a watch instant bank transfer casinos which is for those who want good casino games.

Millionaire'S club III

It is impossible to present a picture of Cryptologic without mentioning the slot Millionaire's Club. This game, which was available at quite a few online casinos until just a few years ago, was for a long time the only competitor to Microgamings jackpots In fact, the game also held the world record for the largest online win in several years.

Millionaire'S club III was released in June 2006. At a time when slots online were honestly not very impressive graphically, Cryptologic thundered in with a game that would be state-of-the-art even today. Millionaire'S club III is a very fancy, sparkling and sparkling story that boasts free spins, wilds, bonus games and even a progressive jackpot.

Note: Millionaire'S club III is currently not available to play anywhere. However, NYX has produced a sequel. Millionaire's Club-Diamond Edition is the title and we expect that this title will be shipped to NYX casinos on a broad front in the coming years.

Aladdin's Legacy

Among the newer games, Aladdin's Legacy is one of the most popular. This game builds on what is definitely one of the most popular themes for slots online, namely the mysteries of the Middle East. Aladdin's Legacy is a graphically very well made slot with lots of delicious animations. A really nice detail is that you click to start the spin on a button shaped like Aladdin's magic lamp.

There are several nice features to take advantage of in the game. There are jokers that give very generous payouts, free spins and also a bonus game. In the latter, you will try to make your way down into the magical cave!

Superman: Last Son Of Krypton

Superman: Last Son Of Krypton is presented under the NYX “flag”, but the game is a product of Chartwell. The game was launched quite a few years ago, but it absolutely keeps the measure still. We would even like to say that it is nicer than many brand new slots.

Superman: Last Son Of Krypton stars Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The villain trying to ruin the party is Lex Luthor. The game boasts a wide range of special features and several of them are activated in an innovative way. For example, with a Superman symbol on reel 1 and a Lois Lane symbol on reel 5, a free spins round with a wide range of special players is activated.

The future of Cryptologic / Chartwell

It is clear that it is Chartwell that is the brand that applies in the future. It is just as clear that Amaya is on her way out of the game and that NYX/SG Digital will hold onto all threads in the future. In short, Cryptologic is a thing of the past What does the future of Chartwell look like? Well, it looks bright. With SG Digital in the back, there are resources so it is enough and will be over. The developers in Chartwell's team will continue to develop delicious slots to both complement and match the games developed by NextGen and Scientific Games

Summary

What began in a boy's room in 1995 ended quite abruptly in 2012. However, cryptologic's legacy lives on in the game development that Chartwell stands for and in the future, perhaps the new Millionaire's Club will again bring some shine to one of the first major players in online casino to offer casino instant mobile payment
